Robotics Class
The Alexandria Community Center & AMES Teacher Laura Schweikert are hosting a 3-day Robotics Class for kids! During this class, students will get to design and build a robot. They will also learn to code the robot and race it through an obstacle course! There is a limited amount of space, so get your registration and money in as quickly as possible!
Registration is open to students that have completed 2nd-5th grades.
Dates: July 8th, 9th, 10th 1-3pm
Location: Alexandria Community Center (315 S. Harrison St.)

Sweet Biddings
Join us for an evening of sweet treats and community spirit at the 9th Annual Sweet Biddings Dessert Auction, happening on September 25, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Alexandria 4-H Building.
This fun-filled night features a delicious dessert auction, plus a silent auction, raffles, and a complimentary dinner—all to benefit the programs and services of the Alexandria Community Center.
Whether you're there to bid on the best brownies in town or enjoy a night out with friends and neighbors, Sweet Biddings is always a hit. Don’t miss your chance to support a great cause and take home something truly tasty!
Alexandria Community Fireworks
Join us for a night of fun, family, and fireworks at the Alexandria Community Fireworks Celebration sponsored by The Golf Club of Alexandria! This exciting event brings the whole community together for an evening filled with patriotic spirit, live entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks display to light up the sky.
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and your favorite people—it’s the perfect way to celebrate and connect with neighbors and friends. Food vendors will be available throughout the evening, with fireworks set to begin at dusk.

Little Firecracker Contest
Calling All Little Firecrackers!
Do you have a little sparkler at home ready to shine? We’re now accepting entries for our Little Firecracker Contest, benefiting the Alexandria Community Fireworks!
Who Can Enter: Alexandria residents ages 2–5
How It Works: Contestants decorate and place jars around town with each contestant’s photo. Every penny = one vote, money/votes can be collected in any form to be turned in at completion. —so tell your friends and family to start collecting change to support their favorite Firecracker!
Important Dates:
• Registration & Photo Deadline: June 7, 2025
• Contest Runs: June 1–28, 2025
